Melanie Jayne Chisholm, also known as Sporty Spice looks almost unrecognisable from her spice girl days. Actress, song writer and business woman, Melanie C has never looked so beautiful, motherhood certainly is treating her well! With the release of her new album I had the pleasure of doing Melanie C’s makeup at the Session School press night .
Here’s my top tips on how a recreate her look: SKIN I started by cleansing with Chanel Precision Cleanser all over and removed with a damp cotton pad. Next I applied Lancôme Renergie Refill Yeux eye cream around her eyes and Chanel Precision Hydramax Moisturiser all over the rest of her face providing moisture, balance and a great base for her makeup. BASE Melanie C’s has beautiful even skin, so I didn’t want to mask it and wanted to keep her foundation sheer and glowing, I used Stila Illuminating Liquid Foundation 20 watts as it provides a lightweight coverage that enhances her skin . Next I applied Bobbi brown concealer around her eyes and a little round her nose and set with Calvin Klein’s Loose Powder to fix her base in place. Next I dusted with St Tropez Bronzing Rocks to warm up her skin and keeps the glowing effect. EYES Melanie wanted her eyes to be simple and elegant, so I blended Cha Cha and Cloud from Stila 4 Pan Palette, across the lid. I then applied black liquid liner with a flick to give a sexy feline look, try using Diorliner. Next I used 2 coats of Maybelline Colossal Mascara to give a false lash look. CHEEKS Apply Bourjois Cream Blush with your fingers or a foundation brush to give you a luminous glow to the cheeks, in keeping with the base. LIPS Lastly I applied Benefit The Gloss in Chaperone to give a peachy nude pout .
