Press Release October 2010 NEARLY 60% OF WOMEN CONCEAL HOW MUCH THEY SPEND ON CONCEALER... A study commissioned by one of the UK’s leading retailers of affordable beauty products can reveal that nearly 60% of women conceal the amount of money they spend on beauty products from their partner; with 1 in 5 women spending at least 4 times more than they disclose. The survey by www.Beauty21.co.uk found that the vast majority of women (43%) will spend around £25,000 on beauty products in their lifetime, with 21% admitting to spending in excess £100 per month. However, the recession has impacted on these spending habits; women are now lying more about how much things cost, but spending just as much. In fact, 1 in 3 respondents admit to spending the same amount of money on cosmetics post recession, despite the fact that their cosmetics fund should have been reduced.
